What is Ovation?

Ovation is a response to something or Someone who is awe-inspiring.

Ovation is an expression of relationship.

Ovation is a rendering – offering something of value to Someone who is valued.

Ovation is a community of people of varied life experiences, but who all share a common life or experience.

For those who have committed their lives and faith to Jesus Christ, Ovation is a lifestyle of worship.

All of that and more are what this site is dedicated to.

I’m so glad you found you found our way here.  I hope you’ll spread the word and come back soon.  I am Andy Wood, and I’ve been following Christ for 36 years.  During that time, I have experienced incredible things, and have been used by God to touch many people’s lives.  During that time, I’ve also made colossal failures, and said “I’m sorry” enough for two lifetimes.

Through it all, I have discovered and experienced the fact that grace – God’s infinite, matchless grace – is still amazing.  And I’ve committed my life to be a rendering of this Master Artist – Jesus Christ – who still is worthy of my highest expression of honor… of my ovation.

What You’ll Find on This Site

If you’re new here, you should probably start in the beginning and hear the Ovation back story of how the Lord used a profoundly simple idea to breathe life back into burned-out me.

Since the whole idea of our Ovation is about a worship lifestyle, and the fact that there are literally hundreds of types of worship, I thought we should explore some.  So we have an entire section dedicated to 365 Ways to Worship God.

Then there’s the Unfolding Story about The Visitation.  And it’s just what it sounds like.  You’re going to meet a fictional group of people who had a life-changing encounter.  You’ll find yourself somewhere in the story as you see a book being written step-by-step.  If you want to start at the beginning, you can click here.

Ovationals are short, scripture-based thoughts to generate ideas and cultivate a worshiping heart – even if you’re in dreadful traffic or buried with work.

Every Ovation post and page will also feature a multimedia element to encourage you in lifestyle worship.  So even if you receive the RSS or email updates, it will be worth your while to click on the page.

And the most important component of Ovation is you.  My dream is for this to truly be a community – an Ovation Nation that reaches around the world and expresses honor and praise to the Lord, and renders the life of Christ to every life we touch.  More on the community component later.
